Baseball in Field

NDG Baseball plays in CDN-NDG in our parks near our homes. We will be getting a brand new batting cage in 2026 as well and the borough is investing in us.
A full-scale league
Yes
NDG Baseball plays in the Lac St. Louis league. We joined this league specifically to offer a better service to our community.
Tradition & connection
Yes
NDG Baseball has been a cornerstone of our community for generations. The Lynx name is legendary and the Bobcats & Wildcats are known everywhere.
A pay-to-play mentality
No
NDG Baseball promotes its most skilled players to the A-level Lynx or the regional AA-level Lac St. Louis Tigers. Money is not the deciding factor, skill is.
PRIVATE PROGRAMS
No
Private programs generally cost several thousand dollars to register and then hundreds to thousands more in travel and hotel fees.
No
Private programs play wherever they can find field time and require long drives. They do not have the same access to CDN and NDG's fields.
Some
Private programs offer specialized, professional coaching. Parents sometimes help as well, but the programs are not volunteer-based.
Professional
There's no question that private for-profit programs have great equipment and facilities. That's a big part of why it costs thousands to join.
No
While there are some private for-profit leagues in the area, most private for-profit programs have to travel to play regular games. This increases costs significantly.
No
Private for-profit programs exist only as long as any other private for-profit business. They have no connection to any particular community by definition.
Sometimes
Many private for-profit programs place money ahead of talent or commitment. They will accept anyone willing to pay, even if they're not really of that skill level.
