NDG's home for baseball, since

With over 60 years as our community's home for youth baseball, there are a lot of stories to tell. Take a look at some of our history below. We are always adding new stories and old stats.

NDG Baseball: Team First, Always.

Bobcats go to Super Regionals

With a 2nd-place performance at the first-ever Lac St. Louis Girls Regionals, held in Pierrefonds - including beating the host team in a thrilling semi-final, the 13U White Bobcats became the first girls team to represent NDG Baseball at the BQ Super Regionals, held in Quebec City that year.

2023 was a landmark year for NDG Baseball as the association permanently moved to the Lac St. Louis region of Baseball Quebec.

This allowed NDGBA to not only more than double its membership in one year, but also led to the creation of the NDG Bobcats Girls Baseball program, which, in Year 1, became both the largest girls baseball program in the Lac St, Louis region and one of the largest in the entire Montreal area.

2023: The new cats in town

The 2023 Baseball Quebec move provided NDGBA's leadership with the opportunity to create a cohesive brand identity for the entire association.

Founded in the 90s and considered one of the premier A-level programs in Montreal, the Lynx name became the anchor for the new identity, leading to the name Bobcats being chosen for our girls program, and Wildcats for our B-level group.

Martin makes the Big Leagues

In 2006,  NDG Baseball alumnus Russell Martin, who played in our association in the mid-90s, began a 14-year Major League Baseball career with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was drafted by the Montreal Expos, but never played for his home team. He also suited up for the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates and Toronto before returning to LA to retire as a Dodger in 2019.
